Event narrative

A storm chaser with broadcast media reported a brief tornado. The tornado snapped large tree limbs and damaged the roof of an outbuilding. Based on this damage, maximum estimated wind in the tornado was 75 to 80 mph.

Wider weather episode

Multiple rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms developed across portions of eastern Oklahoma on the 30th, along and ahead of a cold front moving into the area with the approach of an upper level disturbance. The first round moved into the area during the early morning hours with damaging wind, and the second round moved across the area during the late morning and afternoon with a couple tornadoes and damaging wind.
