Wind gusts ahead of a system increased to about 40 mph, with temperatures warming into the 70s with low humidity resulted in tinder dry conditions. A fire developed along highway 212 and spread rapidly northwards encompassing approximately 700 acres. The fire would flare back up 6 days later and require air resources for monitoring and extinguishment.
