The mesonet station at Minneapolis Shoals XMAPV recorded a peak wind gust of 45 miles per hour at 10:30 PM on the 28th associated with thunderstorms.

A low pressure lifting through the region on the 28th resulted in strong thunderstorms that produced strong winds at Minneapolis Shoals.
