Wider weather episode

An upper level low over CA lifted northeastward toward Wyoming the 27th, which helped carve out a surface low over eastern Wyoming. This low draw a cooler Canadian airmass southward into MT. Showery precipitation transitioned to be more stratiform in nature as snow levels fell across the region. Overall, snow was heaviest in the Tobacco Roots, with lighter snow elsewhere in terrain.
