Dense fog with visibility 1/4 mile or less was observed for several hours at South Jersey Regional Airport, McGuire Air Force Base, Lakehurst Naval Air Station, Ocean County Airport and Atlantic City International Airport.

Wider weather episode

A moist low-level air mass north of an approaching warm front resulted in widespread dense fog across portions of central, southern and coastal New Jersey starting during the evening of May 15th and continuing into the early morning of May 16th. The fog dissipated after sunrise.
