Dense fog with visibility 1/4 mile or less was observed for several hours at Lakehurst Naval Air Station and Ocean County Airport.

Wider weather episode

A moist low-level air mass north of an approaching warm front resulted in widespread dense fog across portions of central, southern and coastal New Jersey starting during the evening of May 15th and continuing into the early morning of May 16th. The fog dissipated after sunrise.
