Thunderstorms from a sea breeze moving northward from the Gulf Coast reached Central Alabama during the overnight and early morning hours of June 26. A microburst occurred in Talladega County, with tree damage reported. During the evening of June 27, thunderstorm activity moved northeastward across Jefferson County, causing wind damage and flooding in Homewood, Irondale, and Trussville, along with a report of hail in Irondale as well. Two injuries occurred in Jefferson County, one due to flooding and another with a tree falling on a house.
