Event narrative

Several trees were downed in Moody, some involving power lines and at least one on a home.

Wider weather episode

Afternoon thunderstorms produced a couple areas of damage on June 6. The next day, a line of severe thunderstorms swept through Central Alabama ahead of a front, with numerous areas of damage across the northern half of the area. Most damage involved downed trees and power lines, although a few trees fell on homes. Early the next morning, June 8, a left-moving cell on the backside of a stratiform rain mass briefly intensified and produced quarter-size hail in Fayette County.
