SC Highway Patrol reported trees down near I-26 in Chapin.

Scattered strong to severe storms developed over central GA and moved northeastward into a favorable and very unstable environment characterized by CAPE in excess of 3000 J/kg with precipitable water values around 2 inches. Storms grew upscale and developed a strong cold pool and resulted in damaging wind gusts across the Midlands.
