Event narrative

Strong thunderstorm outflow lead to severe wind gusts in Texas county, including Guymon.

Wider weather episode

A strong upper level system continued it's progression across central portions of the United States. A dryline that retreated westward the previous night, set up over combined Panhandles and provided sufficient lift and moisture for storms to form the afternoon and evening of the 19th. In the Oklahoma Panhandle, scattered showers and thunderstorms occurred as moisture wrapped around low pressure and moved in from the north. This lead to the generation of severe wind gusts from thunderstorm outflow.
