A tree was on US 127 near the Casey County Board of Education.

On April 29th, a northeast to southwest oriented cold front approached the Lower Ohio Valley from the west. Ahead of the front, a line of strong thunderstorms moved west to east through southern Indiana and central Kentucky, resulting in severe hail and wind damage reports, mainly between the Bluegrass and Lake Cumberland areas. By the 30th, the front had flattened out more west to east through the Lower Ohio Valley. Thunderstorms developed across the Bluegrass region during the afternoon, resulting in additional reports of severe hail.
