Sheriffs Office reported quarter sized hail along Hwy 961, 3 miles north of Hwy 10.

The wider storm

Clusters of thunderstorms developed overnight along a stalled frontal boundary draped across Texas from the Permian Basin to southeastern Oklahoma on April 29th. Those individual clusters congealed into a Mesoscale Convective System on April 30th from the I-20 corridor in Texas to central Oklahoma. This MCS steadily tracked southeast towards Louisiana, reaching southeast Louisiana in the morning hours of May first. A storm along the leading edge of the convection produced severe hail in East Feliciana.
