NWS employee observed a lightning illuminated waterspout over Lake Borne just south of the mouth of the Pearl River.

Wider weather episode

A weak cold front moved through the local area on May 3rd. Marginal shear combined with sufficient instability resulted in a few severe thunderstorms along the coastal areas, including one waterspout.
