Thunderstorms developed in eastern Wyoming and the western Nebraska Panhandle in the vicinity of a surface trough mid afternoon on May 23rd. This activity tracked east into Sheridan County where it produced golf ball sized hail. The storm then weakened as it tracked east into the Sandhills.
