A 59 MPH wind gust was measured at 952 PM at Akron-Canton Airport. Some downed trees and power-lines were reported across the area.

As strong low pressure tracked out of the Ohio Valley, across western Ohio and into the Great Lakes, a strong cold front moved east across the area the evening of December 29th. Strong winds occurred behind this cold front, with some sites measuring wind gusts of 58 MPH or stronger and some downed trees and power-lines reported.
