An Emergency Manager reported several trees down along with power lines. Numerous three inch limbs were reported down along Gilden Road.

An occluded low was located over the Ohio Valley on May 5. The associated cold front gradually moved east during the late afternoon and evening of May 5, allowing for scattered severe thunderstorms across portions of northeast North Carolina.
