A 911 call center operator reported a tree down across Amenia Union Road near Webatuck Creek.

A slow moving cold front was the causing factor of showers and early afternoon thunderstorms across eastern New York on Saturday, May 3, 2025. While showers were more widespread throughout the region, thunderstorm activity became more concentrated within the Mid-Hudson Valley and Taconics where instability within the warm sector of the parent low pressure system rose more significantly. A couple of individual storms in the Mid-Hudson Valley achieved severe strength with 1 inch hail being reported. Another storm, a linear convective system, in particular also became severe in strength, inflicting wind damage to trees and powerlines across the lower Mid-Hudson Valley and Taconics. Several reports were conveyed to NWS Albany of downed trees and wires blocking roadways and causing temporary closures.
