An amateur radio operator reported trees down on Route 202 at East Cotton Hill Road.

Wider weather episode

A slow moving cold front was the causing factor of showers and early afternoon thunderstorms across northwest Connecticut on Saturday, May 3, 2025. One linear convective system in particular became severe in strength, inflicting wind damage to trees and powerlines across central Litchfield County. Several reports were conveyed to NWS Albany of downed trees and wires blocking roadways and causing temporary closures.
