A 911 call center operator reported a tree down along Route 7A near the Bennington and Shaftsbury town line.

The combination of a couple potent, upper-level disturbances and a pre-frontal surface trough inflicted scattered severe thunderstorms across southern Vermont in the evening hours of Saturday, May 17. Several reports of tree damage were relayed to NWS Albany, which led to the temporary closures of several roadways.
