A 911 call center operator reported a tree down near N Street Road and Street Road.

The combination of a couple potent, upper-level disturbances and a pre-frontal surface trough inflicted scattered severe thunderstorms across eastern New York on Saturday, May 17. Numerous reports of tree and power line damage were relayed to NWS Albany, mainly within and north of the Capital District, which led to the temporary closures of several roadways. However, an isolated storm in the Taconics of Columbia County developed in the evening, also producing some tree damage of its own. In addition to wind damage, large hail was also commonly reported across the Greater Capital Region. Hail stones measuring one inch in diameter was especially common in Saratoga and Schenectady Counties, with a report of a one and three quarters inches in diameter hail stone in Schenectady County.
