An upper-level low was positioned over southeast Missouri, while high pressure dominated at the surface. Scattered showers streamed through southeast Missouri through the evening of the 12th. Afterward, dense fog developed where skies were able to clear. The fog developed in the late evening near Perryville, and continued to develop through the overnight hours on the 13th, mainly in the Ozark Foothills.
