Wind gust came in via the Ocracoke XOCR WeatherFlow station in the Pamlico Sound as thunderstorms were moving through the area.

The Seabreeze collided with several boundaries that were located across the Coastal Plain of Eastern North Carolina during the evening and overnight hours of July tenth into July eleventh. As these boundaries collided, scattered showers and thunderstorms developed and gradually pushed eastwards towards the Outer Banks and eventually off the coast of North Carolina during the overnight hours. A few isolated thunderstorms became strong to severe in nature bringing a threat for strong wind gusts to portions of the Pamlico Sound during the early morning hours of July eleventh.
