Thunderstorms developed over the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles during the evening of the 1st, as an upper level disturbance approached the Southern Plains. The thunderstorms moved east during the early morning hours of the 2nd, and became more widespread over central and eastern Oklahoma along a frontal boundary. The strongest thunderstorms produced large hail to quarter size.
