Thunderstorm wind gusts measured by a personal weather station.

Storms erupted along a frontal boundary as a deep and negatively tilted trough lifted out of the central Rockies and approached the boundary during the late evening and overnight. Storms initiated across central Nebraska, lifting northeast and quickly becoming linear with winds to around 70 mph just after crossing the South Dakota border, before storms weakened during the overnight hours.
