The Salt Lake City International Airport ASOS (KSLC) recorded a wind gust of 58 mph as a result of outflow winds associated with a nearby cluster of showers and thunderstorms associated with an approaching cold front moving through the area.

Isolated to scattered convection in an environment characterized by fairly dry subcloud layers and associated high DCAPE values ahead of an approaching cold front resulted in isolated microburst winds.
