The Weatherflow site at Fort Sumter measured a peak wind gust of 36 knots.

Clusters of thunderstorms developed along the southeast South Carolina coast in the early morning hours. A few of these storms became strong enough to produce strong wind gusts along the coast as well as across the adjacent Atlantic coastal waters.
