Tattnall County Emergency Management provided pictures of numerous large trees uprooted along Highway 178. At least 2 trees fell on homes in the 1000 block of Highway 178.

Wider weather episode

Scattered to numerous thunderstorms developed along a subtle stationary boundary in the late afternoon and early evening hours across portions of southeast Georgia. A few of these storms became strong enough to produce damaging wind gusts.
