What the National Weather Service wrote
Strong thunderstorm winds caused a silo to collapse on the corner of Sebring Road, County Road 13, and Mezourek Road.
The wider storm
A stalled frontal boundary over the Finger Lakes region helped to trigger scattered thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening. Instability was modest yet supportive of effectiving mixing down of strong winds. There was also plenty of wind shear aloft. This allowed for a few storms to become strong to severe resulting in locally damaging winds and hail. It was determined that a microburst also occurred in Schuyler County.
Began near Trumbulls Corners (42.3291, -76.6464).
