Public picture of estimated tennis ball sized hail stone.

On the afternoon of the 23rd, a few low precipitation supercells form in eastern Colorado and proceeded to the east, before turning to the southeast. As these storms turned to the southeast, they quickly intensified and began producing hail up to 2.75 inches. A brief tornado was also reported south of Kit Carson.
