A thunderstorm produced wind gusts estimated at 70 mph that collapsed a roof that was under construction at a rodeo venue north of Camp Verde.

Wider weather episode

An upper-level shortwave trough generated thunderstorms on the warm side of a stationary front that was stretched across Central Texas. Some of these storms moved into South-Central Texas and produced large hail and a few damaging wind gusts.
