A thunderstorm produced wind gusts estimated at 65 mph that uprooted a large tree at the corner of Beaver Ln. and Deer Run Way in New Braunfels.

Wider weather episode

An upper-level shortwave trough generated thunderstorms on the warm side of a stationary front that was stretched across Central Texas. Some of these storms moved into South-Central Texas and produced large hail and a few damaging wind gusts.
