A photo of half dollar to ping pong ball sized hail located northeast of Graham was received on social media.

On May 22, strong to severe thunderstorms developed across western North Texas, driven by a northward-moving warm front and a southward-propagating upper-level disturbance. Areas extending from Gainesville southwest to Eastland experienced occasional severe weather impacts, including large hail and damaging wind gusts.
