Event narrative
A homeowner reported multiple trees uprooted and others snapped on his property north of Stillhouse Hollow Lake. Large limbs fell on the roof of the home, and other lightweight outdoor items were moved around. Damage to outbuildings in this area was also reported.
Wider weather episode
Severe weather accompanied a complex of thunderstorms as it surged southeast through Oklahoma into North Texas the night of May 25, with damaging winds being the prevalent severe event. Thunderstorms subsided the morning of May 26, then redeveloped that afternoon along the remnant outflow boundary and attendant surface front. Both large hail and damaging winds occurred as the afternoon storms pushed south through Central Texas, eventually exiting the area to the south that evening.
