Event narrative
Part of a roof blown off shed. This was thunderstorm wind damage in the area of the rear flank downdraft as the tornado dissipated southeast of New Richmond around the same time.
Wider weather episode
A strong line of storms traveled northeast through western Wisconsin during the late afternoon of May 15th. There was one tornado in St Croix County and several locations of damaging wind including areas of significant wind damage in Dunn, Chippewa, Barron, and Rusk Counties. Very large hail up to 4 inches in diameter fell in Eau Claire County.
