Event narrative
A storm survey discovered a half dozen tall pine trees snapped near the intersection of 17th Street and 18th Avenue. There was other tree damage on a neighboring property. Wind speeds estimated up to 65 mph.
Wider weather episode
A strong line of storms traveled northeast through western Wisconsin during the late afternoon of May 15th. There was one tornado in St Croix County and several locations of damaging wind including areas of significant wind damage in Dunn, Chippewa, Barron, and Rusk Counties. Very large hail up to 4 inches in diameter fell in Eau Claire County.
