A large oak tree was uprooted on Poplar Lick Road.

In the warm and humid airmass behind a warm front which crossed the region earlier on May 16th, a decaying mesoscale convective system crossed Ohio and into Pennsylvania just north of the Mason-Dixon Line. Several reports of downed trees were received from these storms straddling the midnight hour into May 17th. One instance of damage to a home was noted in Noble County.
