The Denver WIT Mesonet site on the White Sands Missile Range recorded a peak gust of 60 mph.

An upper trough was moving through the upper Midwest with the the trough axis extending southwest into central New Mexico. Dry air at the surface with dew point depressions lead to gusty winds and some blowing dust with the thunderstorms that developed.
