Wider weather episode
A pre-frontal trough moved across the northern Champlain Valley during the afternoon hours of July 17th into a hot and moderately unstable airmass, but lacked organized upper level winds. Numerous showers and thunderstorms moved across the region, but only one storm for a brief period of time, likely produced a wet microburst that knocked down a few trees onto wires and a structure causing minor damage in Swanton.
