Event narrative

A few trees were blown down at the Camelot Apartments in Natchez. A downed tree caused damage to one building. The winds associated with this were due to a wake low. A peak wind gust of 41 mph out of the southeast was measured by the Natchez AWOS site KHEZ during this time frame.

Wider weather episode

A large weather system impacted the region on May 6th and brought a few rounds of rain and storms to the area. A few instances of severe weather occurred across the forecast area.
