Thunderstorms developed in northeastern Colorado during the afternoon hours of June 28th. This activity moved into southwestern Nebraska, becoming severe, producing quarter sized hail and thunderstorm wind gusts up to 76 MPH. Other activity moved into north central Nebraska from southern South Dakota during the late evening hours. This activity produced wind gusts of 63 MPH in the Valentine area.
