Event narrative
Sporadic tree damage, mostly consisting of very large tree branches blown down, was noted along Cains Mill Road further south from the path of the tornado, but was determined to be due to straight line winds.
Wider weather episode
A stationary front over the region resulted in two rounds of severe thunderstorms. The first was in the late morning through mid day. After a few hours lull, a second round of thunderstorms occurred late in the afternoon through the evening.
