Event narrative

An EF-1 rated tornado developed near the Farm and Fleet in Dodgeville, first moving northeast through a corn field. The tornado then continued to the northeast, impacting numerous trees and one outbuilding. The strongest damage occurred off of County Road ZZ, where numerous large, healthy hardwood trees were uprooted. The tornado ended near Knobs Road, just west of County Road H.

Wider weather episode

Two lines of severe thunderstorms tracked across southern Wisconsin from early afternoon through the early evening hours. Numerous supercell thunderstorms developed, producing a number of wall and funnel clouds as well as a few tornadoes. A secondary line of storms came through which caused sporadic wind damage. The main damage was in Iowa county from the strongest tornado which occurred near and northeast of Dodgeville.
