The mesonet station XMAPV Minneapolis Shoal Light reported wind gusts in excess of 39 mph from 6:45 PM to 7:30 PM EST on the evening of the 16th with a peak wind gust of 64.6 mph at 7:15 PM.

The wider storm

A deep low pressure over the Upper Midwest sent multiple rounds of severe weather through the over the nearshore waters of the Bay of Green Bay and Lake Michigan, first by an occluded front on the 15th and then with the main low pressure and associated cold front on the 16th.
