Event narrative
The Crow Mountain mesonet station recorded an initial strong wind gust of 58 mph at 12:40 pm MST, followed by a subsequent peak wind gust of 68 mph at 1:20 pm MST, and a final strong gust of 67 mph at 1:30 pm MST. These wind gusts were the result of outflow winds associated with a nearby cluster of showers and thunderstorms moving through the area.

Mid level height falls ahead of an approaching trough resulted in the development of scattered convection throughout the day. Given dry low levels and a well mixed boundary layer, DCAPE values were high, and numerous dry to mostly dry microbursts were observed across Utah.
