The GLOS Weather Station GRMM4 Grand Marais reported a peak wind gust of 51 mph at 5:50 PM EST on the 16th associated with a line of thunderstorms.
The wider storm
A deep low pressure over the Upper Midwest sent multiple rounds of severe weather through the over the nearshore waters of the Bay of Green Bay and Lake Michigan, first by an occluded front on the 15th and then with the main low pressure and associated cold front on the 16th.
Began near Grand Marais Light (46.6800, -85.9700).
