Event narrative

Heavy rainfall between 4 and 5 inches fell across Starkville. Flash flooding occurred across the area with water entering homes along Friar Tuck, Sherwood, and Willow Bend roads. One building on the MSU campus took in water. Additionally, multiple roads and several intersections were flooded across the city.

Wider weather episode

A complex of storms organized across northern MS during the early afternoon of the 7th and produced a round of wind damage across portions of northeast MS.
