Thunderstorm wind damage was reported at a property in western Eastland County, along TX-206 and south of FM 221. Metal paneling was pulled off the roof of a barn, a trailer was overturned and tree branches were broken.

Wider weather episode

On May 22, strong to severe thunderstorms developed across western North Texas, driven by a northward-moving warm front and a southward-propagating upper-level disturbance. Areas extending from Gainesville southwest to Eastland experienced occasional severe weather impacts, including large hail and damaging wind gusts.
