Broadcast media reported through social media severe flooding at the Toita Bridge area along road Toita due to the Rio La Plata overflowing its banks. Video footage shows floodwaters completely covering the bridge and roadway.

Unstable and wet weather conditions were anticipated in early May due to a combination of abundant tropical moisture and a series of upper-level troughs moving over the region.
