Broadcast media reported through social media that Rio Prieto overflowed a bridge in Barrio Rio Prieto with fast-moving floodwaters. The road was impassable due to strong, moving floodwaters.

Unstable and wet weather conditions were anticipated in early May due to a combination of abundant tropical moisture and a series of upper-level troughs moving over the region.
