Numerous trees blew down in the Forest Hills Subdivision. A large tree blew down in the 500 block of Mill Creek Road. A tree blew down on South Court Street near Mill Creek Road. A tree blew down on Mount Carmel Road at Mill Creek Road. Multiple trees blew down along Lakewood Road near Business US-340. Power poles were down on Mill Creek Road. Trees blew down along Piney Woods Road.

Several thunderstorms produced localized 60 to 75 mph wind gusts and hail up to quarter size from eastern West Virginia into north-central Virginia as a lee side pressure trough developed in a very hot and unstable environment.
